“While Se attends the appearance of things, Ni is concerned with their deeper qualities and substantiveness…While INJs are to some extent concerned with appearances, they are more attuned to the underlying quality and craftsmanship of things…ensuring that things are substantive, thoughtfully-crafted, and otherwise amenable to their Ni tastes. NFJs, in particular, exhibit the most refined (or what other types might deem expensive or pretentious) tastes of all types.”
As a neurotic detail oriented introvert with a passion for fine things and design, I cannot help but commend this. My ex complained about my love of fine luxury craftsmans videos and my love of my Omega watch and BMW. Oh well. It’s part of my personality type.

I too have a love for my Omega, my unreliable french/english cars and leather luggage. Craftsmanship is the only thing that matters in the material world.

I once shared a how it’s made of a Patek chime watch with an engraved case and she didn’t get it. Ugh.

Meyers-Briggs has been widely discredited in many papers; it can be used to provide basic guidance but nothing in-depth.
Any psychological assessment only gauges the way you feel at the exact moment the test is taken. Lets say you have a rough day before the assessment (Rorsach, Myers-Briggs or even Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences), you got into an argument and are mad at your significant other, it will reflect in your answers. The answers you put down that day will be much different than the answers you put down a few days after the make-up sex and the situation has simmered down.
Also events that are “major” are sometimes easier to remember (fights, big decisions, etc) but in many cases those decisions are the direct result of calculated output (logical thinking) while more minor decisions (deciding what to have for lunch) may reveal more about your person. That back-story plays into how people approach psychological assessments.

I am the motor oil, ISTP...so I appreciate the Omega watches and BMWs as well. I also helped design a watch using a swiss movement.
